Peak District Navigation Courses with Teamplay Outdoor Activities.
With our Peak District navigation courses, we will guide you along the Gritstone edges or along the Limestone Dales linking places of interest all with spectacular scenery. There are many interesting things to find and explore in the Peak District hills. Plane wrecks from the Second World War on Bleaklow, Iron Age Hill Forts in the Burbage Valley, and the many historic stone circles of the Peak District. These courses are a full day so you will need to bring lunch with you. We will always meet up in one of the Peak District villages giving you a chance to stock up on anything you need.
You will spend your day learning skills to help keep you safe and on the right track. The Peak District is one of the most accessible hill walking areas in the country so once you have mastered the basic skills you will have the freedom to keep on enjoying it with so much more confidence.
All the instructors we use on the Navigation days have a vast knowledge of the local area. They also have many years of experience in the mountainous areas of the United Kingdom and further afield. Always happy to pass on their knowledge and tales to tell of their exploits.
Another part of the day will be to talk about the essential equipment to carry. This is either in a cafe at the start of the day or whilst out on the hill. It’s always great to discuss the different items people carry in their rucksacks.
As well as the Peak District navigation courses we also provide orienteering activities. This is a great activity for all the family to learn basic navigation skills and have some great family time. Book Now
