Team Building, Archery & On-site School Activities.
These range from Problem solving challenges, Archery, or Orienteering. Using the school grounds we can set up any number of team building tasks that challenge children of all ages to work together, testing their communication and co-operation skills. These sessions can run as a regular PE session and can incorporate all 3 disciplines over the term or can be a fun and energetic day that supports anything from Healthy Eating week to the study of Vikings. We run sessions to suit all ages and abilities.
“you see a different side to a child when they are learning outside the classroom and everyone has a level playing field within which to succeed”
The benefit of running Team Building activities on-site is that it allows a larger number of pupils to take part, therefore, being very cost-effective. Challenges are set to suit the physical environment available but are also tailored to meet the school’s objectives. Team games may incorporate some aspect of the curriculum currently being studied or may focus purely on motor skills, logical thinking and teamwork.
On-site Archery can be enjoyed all year round. Archery is a skilled sport that helps hand-eye coordination and motor skill technique. A calm sport, this can be thoroughly rewarding for the individual but can be made more competitive when played in teams against each other. The beauty of Archery is that it tests a persons mental maths and strategic thinking as well as teaching them a completely new sport.
Orienteering is a great activity to enhance Maths and Geography lessons, keeps everyone active and discover areas of the school they didn’t know existed. There is so much more to orienteering activities than maps. We have our own unique programme to help teach the skills needed. These sessions can be run over the duration of a half term and make an interesting sporting alternative during the autumn and winter term.
